We provide quality health care for children and families!

The Children's Clinic at St. Lawrence is a faith based joint venture between St. Lawrence Church and Patricia Dyer, NP. Our mission is to provide quality health care for children and families.  No one will be refused service for inability to pay; however, insurance contracts may require that you pay deductibles or co-pays or see a particular provider. We will not turn away children who are uninsured and unable to pay our fees.  You may be required to complete an application form to receive free or reduced-rate care. Those without insurance and unable to pay in full are asked to pay what they can and remember us when their finances improve.

Vaccinations are done on a walk in basis from 9 am to Noon Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.  Other hours by appointment.

Patricia Dyer is a pediatric nurse practitioner with a diploma from the Champlain Valley Physician's Hospital School of Nursing, a Bachelor of Sciences degree from Regents College and a Master of Sciences degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.

Walk-ins and first time patients are welcomed from 9 am until Noon Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, first come, first served.  Other hours are available by appointment for established. (We are closed legal holidays and when the Buffalo Schools are closed - except in summer when we maintain regular hours for most of July and all of August.)  We have vaccines for uninsured children, and all our vaccine records are uploaded to the New York State Immunization Registry while you wait. This makes them readily available should parents ever lose the records.  There is an administration fee of $5.00 per shot and $5 to establish your first record with us.  When needed, physical exams include hematocrits (blood counts), lead testing, and hearing screening. Children, 6 months to 5 years, receive a brand new book with each well child visit.  We often have books available for older children.

Our office has 24 hour telephone coverage by a licensed clinician.  Please call only for ill children between 9PM and 8AM as we answer these calls ourselves.

The HPV vaccine (for cervical cancer and prevention of genital warts caused by human papiloma virus) is available for girls and boys 9 to 19 years.

The clinic now participates with three insurance carriers as well as Medicaid. Patricia L. Dyer, MS, PNP is a primary health care provider for Fidelis Care NY. We accept commercial insurance, too, for exams.

Adult services include blood pressures, blood sugar tests, assistance with affording prescription drugs, help navigating the health care system and bereavement services.

For bereavement concerns, prescription assistance or questions about health referrals, please call for an appointment at 716-308-6302.

Adult services are free.

We serve over 1,000 children annually.

Saint Lawrence is a friendly little Catholic Church in the City of Buffalo. We have the latest parish Mass in the City at 10:00 PM on Saturday night. You are always welcome to come and worship with us.  Masses are at 8:30 AM Monday through Friday, Saturday at 4:30 PM and 10:00 PM, and Sunday at 10:00 AM.
